About Isaac Corbett
With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. In Virginia and Missouri, volunteers are raising funds for transplant patients like local baby, Isaac Corbett.
Isaac is the son of Gabe and Natalie Corbett. Born on October 04, 2010, Isaac was diagnosed with Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) Type-1. The doctors at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, performed a life-saving bone marrow transplant on December 7, 2011. An estimated $60,000 is being raised by Virginia and Missouri volunteers.
